The Barcelona Hotels Association, together with the Catalan Institute of Vineyard and Wine (INCAVI) organizes “Hotels DO. Catalan wines Week at hotels in Barcelona”, designed to promote and disseminate the spaces offered by the hotels and also to bring a quality product Catalan, such as Catalan wines with DO, to the citizens of Barcelona.
The event will take place next week from September 17th to 23th.
During that week, 15 luxury hotels and 5 star Barcelona hotels ceded their space more unique and exclusive to conduct wine tastings to Catalans led by professional sommeliers from the Hospitality School of Barcelona ESHOB and INCAVI.

The City Council, through the Department of Commerce, Consumer Markets, published this new book by journalist Julia Peiro. The publication, written in Catalan, Spanish and English, includes a selection of 257 establishments, with references to the most typical dishes and an important role graph through a selection of photographs of the interior. The book is also a brief history of the city, including references to the origins of restaurants, some trees.
With this work the council reaffirms its commitment to a strategic sector for the economy of the city, which also helps to boost its tourist appeal.
The councilman of Commerce, Consumer Markets and the City of Barcelona, Raimond Blasi, presented today at the School of Hotel Barcelona (ESHOB) book.
The book has 279 pages, written in Catalan, Spanish and English and has become a first print run of 1,500 copies, which can be purchased at a price of € 40 in the library of the City Hall (c / city, 4). Includes a foreword by the Mayor Xavier Trias, the Councillor Raimond Blasi and the author himself, who points out that the selection has been based largely on public input through Web 2.0 tools.
