Visit to the Agustí Torelló i Mata wineries

Last Friday, April 13 students of the Higher National Diploma in Hospitalyty Services visited the excellent  facilities of Agusti Torello Mata wineries, enjoying the explanations from the winemaker Alex Torello, who responded to all questions and concerns of the students as well as Agusti Torello offered a tasting of different products accompanied by his masterful knowledge and communication skills.

The golds of the visit focused on the preparation of sparkling wine from the vineyard to the bottle as well as national and international distribution supported by advertising and promotional campaigns.

Visit to Mas Parés (Foie productors)

The students of the course of NAtional Higher Diploma in Hospitality Services visited on Friday 30 March the beautiful farms and production facilities “Mas Parés” company in Girona, La Selva.

Jaume Juher, R + D + I and host of the visit told the students that “well done work last forever and not only in the final product, but caring and pampering retail anywhere from animal husbandry to final product in different varieties of quality and global supply. “

Visit to the Hotel Arts and Hesperia Tower

HOTEL ARTS DE BARCELONA

Continuing the program of activities for students who are about to finish his studies inHigher Grade Restoration, on Friday, March 2 we visited the brand new Hotel ArtsBarcelona, managed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. We attended Ignasi Rosell, a former student of our school and currently holds the position of chief operating officer ofcatering Hotel Arts.

On this visit, toured the facilities of restaurants, kitchens, warehouse / commissary / storage, function rooms, public areas and several models of rooms.

HOTEL HESPERIA TOWER

Last Friday, March 16, students in second year of higher degree of restoration visited theHotel Hesperia Tower in Barcelona ”architecture of illusions and dreams.”

Our hosts were at all times Natalia Guerrero, director of HR and Davinia assistant in the same department and brilliantly organized the visit because the students were able tomeet personally with Roger Grau, director of the hotel, Franz Josef and Olga Uarte, head of reception and governess, respectively, where each of them explained their main responsibilities and daily operations more dynamic or interdepartmental relations. By midmorning, he joined the visit Manuel Sierra, director of food and beverages that led usto different parts EVO and facilities such as restaurant kitchens, where students metBausson Aeric, executive chef exchanging some ideas with him.

February 24. Higher Grade students enjoy the knowledge, experience and advice of one of the most prestigious tourism consultants internationally as Marc Gual, Bachelor of Legal Sciences and Economics, ESADE Business School MBA and Master in Urban Planning from the UPC.

In his professional experience include his duties as Director of Development at Rest BestHotels, Expansion Director Sidorme Quality Low Cost Hotels, Director of BNP-PARIBAShotels and Club Med.

Began by positioning the students to the concept of sectoral organization through formation of groups and chains.

Marc, documented its involvement in actual reports on the participation of the chains in the hotel sector in the five official categories and highlighting the concept of profitability of hotels3 * and 4 * in which the pair works great profitability and image.
