The Roc Mondriaan hotel school in Amsterdam, visited for the third consecutive year theESHOB facilities as part of a cultural and gastronomic journey performed annually in the city of Barcelona.
After the presentation and site visit, the Dutch group dined at the Restaurante L’Ham.

Begining of the postgraduate program in Hospitality Service Management 2011-2012

Yesterday at ESHOB, took place the presentation of the 2011-2012 academic year. The school received more than 100 students prepared to start their classes in any of its specializations (cooking, pastry, service).
During the presentation, explained the benefits and services available to students, course objectives and introduce some of the professors. The Principal Iñaki Gorostiaga emphasize the importance of service attitude, teamwork, commitment and discipline, basic values in the profession.
The students of vocational training (standard level) will return on Monday September 12 to begin their classes, likewise the Higher Level students will start on September 19.

The ASSOCIATION Of SCHOOLS Of HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY CELEBRATES In MADRID HIS ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The Association of Schools of Hospitality industry (AEHOS) celebrated the past May 11th his General Assembly, in which have presented the new Schools associated and the lines of performance for the next exercise, which will hav as priority the collaboration with companies of the sector of hospitality, agriculture and equipment.
As a guest of honor, opened the act the professor and journalist Domènec Biosca, president of the Association of Experts in Tourist Companies and president of Educatur, he highlighted the importance of the education in hospitality industry and tourism as a positive way to get evolve in the current situation of the sector, and congratulated to the schools for his efforts to create “talent and disposition” in the future professionals of touristic enterprises.
The meeting celebrated at the Hotel Catalonia Atocha, began with the welcoming to the new associated schools: Esc. de Hosteleria Gambrinus, CIO Mijas y Esc. Superior de Gastronomía, Hostelería y Turismo de Toledo.
Since the Association first started ten years ago, several schools of recognized path around Spain (Asturias, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, Malaga, Toledo, Jaén, Castelldefels, …), have shown interest to be part of this project and his actions for the improvement of the competitiveness and the work opportunities for the students and so for the hospitality industry.

The show ‘Porta 104′ of Barça TV looks for inspiration in the kitchen. Discover the secrets of the desert ’El Gol de Messi’ ”El Celler de Can Roca” and offers ESHOB’ students create a recipe inspired by the club. The episode, called ”Kitchen of Champions’ enters the world of gastronomy and provides examples of how the Barca players, their play, and other elements of the collective imagination culé can be a source of inspiration for chefs.
A challenge for students
Aware of the importance of the quarry also in the kitchen, the program has proposed ac hallenge to the students of the ESHOB (Hospitality School of Bacelona). Students have worked for three weeks preparing a dish inspired by the club. The result is “More than a plate, a feeling”, a meat recipe, inspired by the three Champions and in the recent 5-0 at Real Madrid. Barça TV has shelled the creative process of this dish and invited students to develop themselves and argue their recipe for the cameras.
